Tuesday's CCS roundup

The Palo Alto and Gunn boys' water polo teams had it easy in the opening round of the Central Coast Section Division I playoffs on Tuesday, but things get much tougher from here.

That information about Gunn's height advantage in the CCS volleyball match was taken from the Palo Alto Daily News game story. It's the identical information.

Actually, both papers relied on the same source. That is, someone associated with the team writes up a "press release" and sends it to the local papers. Most just run it verbatim.

Daily News had a reporter there. Weekly didn't.
