Fire ripping through Walgreens..
Crimes & Incidents, posted by Danny, a resident of the Crescent Park neighborhood, on Jul 1, 2007 at 10:34 pm

I was just downtown, and a fire is bursting out of the roof of the Walgreens on University Avenue. It looks pretty major -- lots of firetrucks and people around.

Thanks for posting, Danny. I was wondering where the sirens were headed and where the smoky smell is coming from. Good that this sort of information gets shared here on the forum. Keep us posted. Time to close the windows for the night.

I hope everyone's ok.

I also hope someone takes some photos.

A bunch of yahoos are on top of 445 and 529 Bryant taking photos. Police are heading in now to evacuate them.

The building just suffered a structural collapse. Everyone is being evacuated 200 feet from the structure in case it goes down. Could PAIX be in danger?

No danger to PAIX. Fire is out!
