Report: Texas, Oklahoma schools will seek membership in the Pac-12

The Austin American-Statesman reported Sunday that Texas, Oklahoma, currently ranked first in the nation in football, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State will be seeking membership in the Pac-12 Conference, a move that conference commissioner Larry Scott was working toward last year.

Empathically NO, NO, NO!! Texas and Oklahoma don't join anything unless they come in to RULE. The Pac 10 was once what a college conference should be except USC, and recently Oregon got its hands dirty. But this will gobble up the smaller traditional Pac 10 schools like Washington State. Once upon a time, a conference was about school spirit and local rivalries. Now it's all about $$$.
