USGS June Evening Public Lecture

This month's Evening Public Lecture Series program -- at 7:00 on June 28th -- features a colorful 3-D tour of the spectacular southern Colorado Plateau region describing many of the fascinating geologic features found in this arid southwestern desert setting. USGS geologist Philip Stoffer will be speaking about "Adventures in Southwest Geology -- Exploring the colorful southern Colorado Plateau in 3-D map". You'll be able to see Earth history laid bare while learning about the regional influence of volcanic eruptions, mountain building episodes, and dramatic erosional processes forming many of today's natural wonders and much more. 3-D glasses will be provided at the lecture.
