Little League baseball

Bret Rodrigues and David Farnham each hit home runs to spark Menlo-Atherton to a 5-2 win over San Mateo National in the District 52 Little League Majors 11-12 all-star tournament at Palo Alto's Middlefield Ballpark on Thursday night.

Can you elaborate on "illegal slide?"

I wasn't at the game so I can't comment on Eli's illegal slide. But a head first slide is an example of an illegal slide in LL baseball. There's also a mandatory slide rule in that you must slide into the base to avoid a collision if the baseman has the ball and is trying to make a tag.
