JLS Middle School responds to tragedy

Two counselors at JLS Middle School in Palo Alto have been available to meet with students following the highway crash death of a mother of a sixth grade student on Tuesday.

    Wow. I wasn't aware of this. I can't believe this happened to someone at JLS

    There is a fund started by the co-presidents of the PTA to help buy groceries for this family during the summer. This is not because they are in need, but because it is a sympathetic gesture. The family is Russian and their culture does not necessarily understand the way the community wants to help them out, so it has been felt that a gift card for groceries shows the best signs of support.

    If anyone is interested in donating, ask the JLS office to give you the details of the co-presidents.
