Peaceful Warrior
Movies, posted by Craig Bright, a resident of Mountain View, on Jun 14, 2006 at 8:29 pm

The movie Peaceful Warrior is from the book by Dan Millman. A wonderful departure from the cussing, over the top sex and lots of violence which seems to be the formula for movies today. The book, much like the movie has been dubbed, "The book that changes lives" is a must see movie and must read for those that are wanting to take a trip into the marvels of existence and the realm of possibilities. If you ever thought,"we create our own realities" you are right and this movie will help you on this path. Staring Nick Nolte as the "guide" named Socrates and he delivers some great moments of enlightenment and wisdom. Yes, this is a fun movie with the setting being UC Berkeley campus and the star being a collegate World Class Gymnast. This movie has drama, romance, action and "food for thought".

Parents take your teenagers and young adults. Teenagers and Young Adults take your parents. Rated PG 13 and is now playing at Century 16 in Mt.View.

While far from perfect, it was a good film. It's bearing witness to someone learning to step outside their normal reality, in order to change their consciouness, and therefore, their life. A lovely alternative to more predictable, violent, and/or unimaginative films.
