She is there every day, in the worst weather as well as the best. She oversees a very bad intersection with LOTS of cars, a 3-way stop, and LOTS of pedestrians. She handles that intersection like a first-class pro, and I have always been warmed to see her doing her duty so well, protecting our kids, even when it must have been VERY uncomfortable for her. Other crossings either lack a guard or have guards that switch out, or get abandoned by guards long before this lady leaves her post. She is wonderful, and if there are ANY awards given to outstanding guards, she deserves one. I don't know her name, I do not know her personally, I just see her working hard and well every day, and I love her for what she is doing and the way she does it.
