Devil
I loved "Devil." When I read the first reviews last night, they said "boring," so that was my cue, along with the PG13 rating, that this wasn't a gory movie. I can't handle ...

Star Trek question
Peter Canavese, how do you figure that Sulu's sword is "unearned?" In the original show, Sulu is an expert fencer.

Star Trek
It was a fun movie. Definitely not excellent, but exciting in a few spots and humorous. And I'm glad I saw it on a big screen. How could I not see our Photographer's Galler...

call a paramedic-- gut has busted
If you like Mr. Bean, forget the reviews, I recommend Mr. Bean's Holiday. The second half is slow, but during the first half, I laughed so hard that tears were streaming down...

Ruggles of Red Gap
Does anyone know how to make a movie request/suggestion to the Stanford Theater? I heard on NPR that "Ruggles of Red Gap" (1935) is supposed to be a great comedy.

The Invasion
I saw this movie because the reviews said it wasn't scary enough-- yay! I thought it was a great "bad" movie. It was exciting, interesting, and not gory (no more so than Ani...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
I enjoyed the movie very much. And I was so happy that Michael Gambon's (Dumbledore) acting improved. His speaking parts were thankfully shorter too. Prior, I couldn't beli...

Ratatouille
Ratatouille was REALLY good. I felt like I was in another world, it had lots of non-slapstick/non-bathroom laughs, and the best evil character ever. Only criticism was the l...

Die Hard 4
This was a really fun movie. I laughed a lot and it was exciting. The downside was the lack of completely sidesplitting, tears-coming-down-my-face scene, such as the cockpit...

not fantastic but not bad
I saw Fantastic Four 2 and thought it was a good bad movie. Forgettable, stupid, and fun. I had peanut m&m's and peanut butter cups--delicious.
