Off-duty detective spots downtown robbery suspect

A man suspected of robbing a person he'd just befriended in downtown Palo Alto earlier this month was arrested for the crime Tuesday afternoon, police have announced.

Why emphasize his photo like you have? Are you trying to frighten people? Or just draw traffic? Strikes me as racist. (I'm sure the censor will delete this post.)

How is it possible for a photo to be racist? Do you know that they always publish photos of the arrested criminal?

Sparty is a registered user.

You can do something good and get your picture in the paper. Or you can do something especially bad and get your picture in the paper. It's up to you.

What a good "catch" on the part of the off-duty police officer. It's very hard to make much out of the surveillance photo. Presumably the victim had provided the police more detail about his assailant.

At any rate--this police officer earned his salary that day. Good going!

you know me ,guy who rides bike , i am not black like that ,but i got stopped and frisked by papd .dont fit description at all.i am not dark and dont have frizzed hair! but i AM racially mixed.. ''pull em' all over. we can get away with it, were POLICE!''. lawbreakers is what cops are. but we'll let ferguson speak for us. american are hopelessly racist.including paloaltoonline.
