YMCA executive to head Palo Alto nonprofit Abilities United

Charlie Weidanz, longtime head of the Bay Area YMCAs, will take the helm of Palo Alto nonprofit Abilities United, the organization has announced.

Just wondering if this appointment has anything at all to do with the closure of Page Mill YMCA.

Perhaps he resigned in disgust over being forced to close the Page Mill "Y."

Mr. Weidanz needs to raise a lot of money to refurbish their facilities. Good luck to him.
