Despite sharing best record with Paly, Gunn girls win title

Original post made on May 12, 2014

Does anyone else find the title offensive? Why not just say Gunn won the Lacrosse title? 15-2 sounds a lot better then 14-5. Does anyone else think the Gunn gets far less sports reporting than Paly, even when they win?

@What? Yes, I agree, that is back-handed lauding at best. It makes it sounds as if Gunn didn't win legitimately, which of course they did. I doubt intentional, but nevertheless, it should be changed.

It would not be "appropriate" that the teams "should share the title" - it is appropriate that Gunn won the title outright, given that they led in the crucial tie-breaking category. You don't say that a game that gets settled in overtime "appropriately should have ended in a tie" - right?

How about "Gunn Girls Win Lacrosse Title, Edging Out Paly?"
