Only four years for murder? Please tell me my life would be worth more than that. Please tell me that when she gets out in four years, her child will not be place under the custody of someone with such a demonstrated violent temper.

That sentence is an absolute disgrace! It may have been forced on the judge by the plea bargain - I cannot address that. But as a statement on the value of a human life its shocking, its barely a sentence at all. I think the full 12 years would have been more appropriate.
