County reports the most flu deaths in Bay Area

The number of people who died in Santa Clara County during the current flu season has increased by two to 10, the most of any Bay Area county, public health officials reported today.

My spouse had H1N1 the first year it came around -- always gets the flu shot, but they didn't have it in the shot that year. Got bad VERY fast. We got the shot as soon as it was available then. Got another one this year! Get the shot!

The numbers given do not reflect the number of people over the age of 50 who die from the flu. For some reason, the state and the CDC do not include people over 50 when they die of the flu.

@Uncounted - All you have to do is read the article to know that you are incorrect about the numbers not including people over 50.

"two additional flu victims, men aged 43 and 54"

"six were females and four males, ranging in age from 41 to 62"
