Two reported dead in Palo Alto house fire

A house fire tonight at 988 Embarcadero Road has claimed the lives of two people, according to Palo Alto police and fire officials. Fire units were dispatched to the home at 7:17 p.m. Friday night and the announcement of the fatalities was made at 9:03 p.m.

Embarcadero Road is closed to traffic.

So sad! I just can't imagine how painful should be to die in fire. Hopefully they lost conciense before their bodies were in fire. Rest in peace, and God brings healing to their families.

Very sad, particularly when the house is so close to a fire station!
