I'll vouch for these ribs being some of the best around....
Thanks Palo Alo online for giving credit to this small business.
?? Waite now I'll see even longer lines for Harold Willis ribs:(
I have bought Harold's ribs many times. They are very good. However, I always thought I was in Palo Alto, not Mt. View, when I did so. Am I wrong?
Jake, you were indeed in Mountain View, but it's an understandable mistake. I live in that part of Mountain View, and it lies right on the border with Palo Alto. Indeed, my apartment complex is named "Palo Alto Plaza" despite actually being located in Mountain View. And to confuse matters further, just on the other side of El Camino is Los Altos. :D
Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea how these city borders were set up, historically? Either way, Harold makes very good ribs.
One more thing I would like to say about Harold: He has the old fashioned work ethic. He seems to expect from society what he can earn by filling a demand. He would make it, anywhere in this country.
Great story! Like Jake, I was confused with this location. I always assumed that Lozanos was in Palo Alto and that San Antonio Rd. was the border for the city.
BTW, does anyone know where he is located at the car wash?
I used to frequent Lozanos for my car washes. However, it seemed like the quality of the wash itself had recently decreased -- with the wheels, tires and even the car not quite cleaned properly. Lately, I have been going to the car wash next to Town & Country (they have always been very thorough with cleaning everything correctly).
However, I might be inclined to give Lozanos a chance again -- if it means picking up some good dry rubbed ribs and mesquite-smoked chicken for my hubby! After having lived in Texas, my husband misses the mesquite wood smoked bbq quite a bit!
I just can't remember having seen any BBQ at Lozanos before. Is Mr. Willis located in building area or in the entrance parking lot?
He is located right on the corner on El camino You should see some tables, umbrellas.
Harold I'm comm'in for those ribs.. Sounds like some serious TLC going into those ribs and low and slow sounds right for some serious good ribs.. Love the tip on this secret BBQ'er. And the price is extremely good.
@ It's Pat!
It is soooo teender! You don't need teeth to eat his meat!
Don't miss out on the discussion!
