This is for Becky Beacom - I am so thrilled to see you honored for all the work you've done in our community! Back in the mid '80's I attended your prenatal class as a requirement for my nursing education at SJSU. In 1989, I had the good luck to land in the class again, this time as a an excited almost first time mother. Seeing your commitment to and your understanding of the family always impressed me. It encouraged me to seek out pediatric nursing and parent education as the focus of my own professional career. As the years have passed, I've run into you from time to time, and you've always met me with a big hug and a "how are you doing?"
You are an amazing person, Becky, and we are so lucky to have such a Tall Tree in our midst!
