Palo Alto market robbed at gunpoint Saturday

A man with a black, semiautomatic handgun held up proprietors of the Valencia Market at 3487 El Camino Real in Palo Alto Saturday shortly before 8:40 p.m., fleeing the shop with cash from the register, Palo Alto police reported Sunday, Aug. 26. A sketch of the gunman is expected within a few days, police said.

How many times does this place need to get robbed before it purchases a surveillance camera? Pictures would help the police more than the memory of eye-witnesses.

Maybe the City should waive the Alarm Tax (Fee) on businesses and allow them to buy and upgrade their cameras and alarm systems.

"No arrests have yet to be made in the 2011 case..."
