Best of Luck, Meredith - you deserve it!
Looks like a great location. Palo Alto's loss is Redwood City's gain.
But it's not actually that far from Palo Alto
One comment on the plans: have you considered making the women's
restroom larger than the men's? Perhaps move the separation over
one stall/urinal ? (Or are the restrooms already there?)
Take over any of the vacant buildings on univercity street, why not draw crowds of people there? Palo Alto is losing round after round, step up and play the game ffs.
Never heard of the place in six years.
Ditto Guest, never heard of it.
Great move! I live in Menlo Park and work in Redwood City. The RWC downtown is really coming alive. I've eaten at Sakura teppanyaki and sushi restaurant next door, and the new theater space fits in there really well. The restrooms are already there, shared with Sakura, so no changes can be made to them now.
My only comment on the design is, can you fit more than 3 mezzanine seats in there? Seems like so few for the upper level space you have. In any case, welcome to Redwood City. I had never heard of Dragon Theatre before, but now I do.
I will really miss you, Dragon. We are losing so many venues. Not to put you in the same league as the bowling alley, but Palo Alto's main activities are to dine and shop, anymore. We do have Stanford's Lively Arts etc... but I miss the towny feel of our community venues.
Sorry to lose you from Downtown. However, the new venue is just a couple of blocks away from the Redwood City Caltrain station. Taking the train results in no parking problem at all!
Congratulations Meredith and best wishes for your continued success. Downtown Redwood City will be lucky to have you.
Don't miss out on the discussion!
