My son was in her class around 1996, and I honestly can't think of a better person to transition from teacher to principal!! Congratulations to Katy and the entire Palo Alto school district - this is fabulous news!!!

Great to hear the positive comments about Ms. Bimpson. Dr. Scott has been a gift, so hopefully this continues the tradition of great principals at this fabulous school.

Katie Bimpson is also known as Katie Delay, and is a Gunn grad, class of 1983, I just realized.

Kudos to Katie; it's great to see a product of the system come back and evolve into leadership of the system.

(i ran into Katie at Peets and said hi for the first time in 30 years and she told me she is now a school principal...)
