Stanford students' dream of women's shelter now a reality

Original post made on Mar 22, 2012

It's always heartening to read a "positive" story. Kudo's to the Stanford students, donors, churches, and volunteers that make this possible.

I'm confused by the last line "The Hotel de Zink Women's Shelter scheduled to end in April." The shelter seems like it's doing a lot of good and it's unfortunate if it has to end in April.

I agree with the latest post--how sad that this should come to an end. Great that the P.A. Weekly has run this story--how about it donates space in its printed newspaper for an ad that solicits funds from the public?

Kudos to the Stanford students and especially to All Saints Episcopal who stepped up early when the women could not go to Menlo Park Pres. and who continued later than planned until PBC got their permit. It turned out to be a very positive experience for all inviolved: women and church members.

I believe Hotel De Zink is going to move to a different church.

The Hotel de Zink Women's Shelter closed it's doors on the morning of Apr 29th. The students and volunteers of Night Outreach would like to thank everyone involved. Like us at Web Link, follow us on Web Link or email us at hoteldezink.women@gmail.com
