New IBM report identifies inefficiency in fire and police operating practices

Original post made by Ryan, College Terrace, on Feb 5, 2012

New report from IBM for the city of San Jose.

A Santa Clara civil grand jury had similar findings with regard to fire service. PA must address the money it wastes on inefficient fire practices before asking the public to support another tax increase or bond to fund neglected infrastructure. Tony Spitaleri will do everything in his power to fight increased efficiency (he accused the grand jury of bias, as he will undoubtedly IBM), but PA leadership must represent the people and demand that our tax $$ be spent wisely.

Our firefighters must not be too busy either. A few weeks back, my husband and I went to check out the cell tree in the backyard of the fire station on Hanover. There we observed not one, but two firemen (in Palo Alto Fire shirts) washing their cars around 3pm. Must be nice to wash your own car while getting paid and use the city's water too.
