I'm sure both of these fine institutions are in dire need of this funding. I'm just glad this money will help a new generation of journalists publish such fine magazines as Cosmo that sell sex all over their cover for my kids to see when we check out at the grocery store. Next time how about the homeless, hungry or children who need this more.

Does the Weekly really consider Cosmopolitan to be journalism? How about the National Enquirer?

Stanford has always been a sell out university, but this is ridiculous. Why on earth would they want this woman's name on a building? If I were a journalist I'd be proud to say I studied at the Helen Gurley Brown school...LOL!!!

Maybe her words of wisdom should be inscribed on the building...

"David and I have long supported and encouraged bright young people to follow their passions and to create original content," Brown said in a statement.

"Great content needs useable technology. Sharing a language is where the magic happens. It's time for two great American institutions on the east and west coasts to build a bridge."
