Achieving Desired Political Outcomes

Original post made by adamsdottir on Jan 22, 2012

As I follow this year's primary electoral shenanigans, I'm incensed by the CA political establishment thwarting of citizens' desire for a truly open primary. So I ask myself, if I truly do not want a particular party to win primary elections, what is wrong with re-registering as a member of the party whose politics I abhor and voting for the candidates that are least likely to succeed and then re-registering as a member of the party whose political platform more closely follows my own political philosophy in the general election.
