I highly recommend boycotting the stores and spending time doing simple, family oriented pastimes instead.

The stores are disgusting me with their opening of Thursday 10.00pm/midnight/4.30 am openings. Instead, go hiking in Foothill Park or the Baylands, drive to the coast and walk along the beach, go ice skating at the Winter Lodge, ride bikes, play ball or frisbee, roast chestnuts, drink soup, play board games, etc. etc.

Happy Thanksgiving means being thankful for what you have, not buying more.

When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
