Incident at Palo Alto Baylands this morning?

Original post made by Dog walker, Duveneck/St. Francis, on Nov 20, 2011

Does anyone know what was happening at the Palo Alto baylands this morning around 9am, near to the nature center? There were about five police cars, a fire truck, paramedics and rangers present. We thought the police officers were down at the waters' edge looking at something.

There was a body found at the baylands, an apparent suicide. There is a news brief here at Palo Alto Online about it.

What a shame. Pity the poor person and his or her family and friends.
