Former POST president to be honored by City Council tonight

A self-described "nature freak," Audrey Rust, the retired president and CEO of Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST), will be honored by the Palo Alto City Council tonight (Sept. 19). Rust, who is a watercolorist, Menlo Park resident and native of Connecticut, retired from POST in July after 24 years. At POST's helm, Rust helped raise $325 million to preserve 53,000 acres of open space in Santa Clara, San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties.
