Stanford student reported missing in Malaysia

A 22-year-old Stanford senior who has been traveling in Malaysia was reported missing by his parents, who have not heard from him since Aug. 14.

The facebook page update says he registered at Taman Negara National Park and they expect he will return by the 23rd.

Better safe than sorry. I'm glad they found him. We don't even know the family and have been praying and hoping he would be found safe.

Glad they found him safe and sound ..

Kids / Adults .. when you venture our on an adventure, please make sure someone knows where you are headed to. If this kid had let his parents know (or posted it on social media) that he was headed into the forest for X number of days .. his parents would have had something to go on. I agree 6 days without contact is a bit too much for any parent to take, but atleast they would know where to look for ..

When I was growing up, before cell phones were invented and when phones were not "common" either, we had a rule: You told someone at home where you were going and when you'd be expected to return. Go back to that ..
