State unemployment rate rises slightly

California's unemployment rate went up slightly in June, according to a report released Friday (July 22) by the state's Employment Development Department.

This is a bad news especially to those who are planning to apply for loan. Unemployment rate in the state you are residing is one of the factors loan companies are looking at. An individual's credit reliability is dependent upon lots of variables, most of which could be controlled in one way or another. What state an individual resides in, however, can't be manipulated short of moving somewhere else. A brand new study rates all fifty states in order of their creditworthiness. Gee...I wonder why?

Taxpayers, from business owners who pay taxes and employ taxpayers, to people finding better cost-of-living from taxes to housing, are fleeing California.

Like Rubio said, we don't need more taxes, we need more taxpayers. Lake Tahoe water level lowers in low rain/snow years, and rises in high ones. It takes many drops and flakes to make a Tahoe..same is true for tax revenue.
