Apple's expansion in Cupertino

Original post made by Jim H. on Jun 8, 2011

Here's a video of Steve Jobs presenting to the Cupertino City Council for a new building they want to build on the old HP land.

Compare the drooling of the Cupertino City Council over wanting to keep Apple in the city vs. the way Palo Alto's City Council does business.

Also note Jobs' comment that Apple pays taxes to the city so the city can provide for it's residents.

Let's see if Cupertino asks Apple to provide transit passes, housing, etc...

And the plan is to add 40% more employees than are currently there, or 2,500.

Palo Alto's council could learn something.

Apple's planned circular office building in Cupertino looks similar to this building in Japan. It can be seen at 0:15. It may take a moment to load.
