Dumping in Permanente Creek/Mountain View Slough

I was just hiking in the Mountain View Baylands next to Permanente Creek. A culvert near the golf Course and Rengstorff House, just under a pedestrian bridge, was pouring a huge amount of foam into the creek, that was not dissipating the way normal soap suds would. I have reported it to Mountain View water 650 903-6311.

I urge anyone else who spotted this to call them or anyone else who can investigate dumping pollution into the Permanente Creek which feeds into the Mountain View Slough and the Bay. If anyone has any more information on what is going on, please post.

The poor ducks were swimming through the foam - I'm sure this isn't good for them or the Bay.

I started a Facebook page (search for Permanente Creek) to hopefully get more info. I'm going back to take some photos and post on Facebook.

Not good. Poor ducks; it's sickening what we do to wildlife for our convenience.
