City to honor Martin Luther King Jr. with 'Day of Service'

The City of Palo Alto will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Monday, Jan. 17, with a day of community service. Projects include habitat restoration, visiting seniors, serving meals at a shelter, and helping with the creation of a library in Botswana.

Lots of important projects there. If you don't want tax dollars to pay for all our essential services, then volunteer some of your time instead.
