Original post made by lurking, College Terrace, on Dec 5, 2010

Mayor Burt went all the way to Cancun for a conference (paid his own way which is outstanding), and went to San Diego for a meeting with many more mayors sometime ago. There must be a reason for all of thie travel. (there he got the Governor on a call)

Maybe Burt is simply being a dedicated elected official attempting to do his best and not sticking the taxpayers with the bill along the way - what a refreshing concept.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
