Public meeting room in Palo Alto

Original post made by Ann, Downtown North, on Dec 4, 2010

Does anyone know if there is a public meeting room in Palo Alto? We are looking for a place to meet with once a month for a period of two hours. We are working on a not for profit project for teenagers. We appreciate any leads. Thanks.

Try the libraries and community centers. You could also try the JCC, the Y and various churches. The schools may also have some space.

The city's Enjoy catalog of classes arrived in the mail this week and copies are all over, and in libraries. The next to last page lists a full page of rooms you can reserve. If you are a nonprofit maybe there is a lower fee.
Also many churches have rooms that the public can reserve. Sometimes it helps if you know someone who is a member, but its not necessary.

Perhaps one of the Real Estate offices downtown Palo Alto could offer a conference room. Most offices are open until 5 or 6pm so any time before that could work. I am with Coldwell Banker in Los Altos. If I can help you, let me know. Great cause! Thank you! diannevernon@sbcglobal.net
