Police activity near new JCC at Charleston & San Antonio ~1:40pm

Original post made by Midtown telecommuter, Midtown, on Sep 14, 2010

I was on my way to a meeting at ~1:40pm on Tuesday and there was *significant* police action around the JCC at Charleston and San Antonio.

Maybe a dozen cop cars, including marked, unmarked and CHP. They were driving on the wrong side of the road and generally carrying on like something bad was in progress.

Anyone know what was going on?

Menlo Park PD pursued a stolen car into Palo Alto at Embarcadero, along Greer, down Oregon, then onto 101. CHP had the car stopped on San Antonio, but the suspects bailed. PAPD caught one suspect after a short foot pursuit along Charleston and found another suspect hiding in the JCC parking garage a little later.

Good job by the PAPD!
