County off air-quality report card's 'dirtiest' list

For the first time after being among the nation's 25 dirtiest counties for two years, Santa Clara County has improved in the American Lung Association's clean-air test.

If Caltrain and other public transit systems get cut back, local air pollution levels are going to soar again.
