"Lynnelle Ye, 18, a senior at Palo Alto High School, finished fourth and will return to California with an extra $40,000. It's the first time in the competition's 60-plus-year history that two Bay Area students have finished in the top 10 of what's known as "the junior Nobel Prizes" of science contests."

Congratulations, Lynelle!

Congratulations to Lynnelle--what a great achievement! Go Paly!

Hopefully this will inspire other kids at Paly and Gunn.
