Two men standing in a their driveway were shot in a drive-by shooting in East Palo Alto Thursday night, according to police.
Officers went to the 2400 block of Illinois Avenue at about 8:55 p.m. after the Police Department’s Shotspotter system notified them of gunshots in the area, police reported.
Arriving officers found two East Palo Alto residents, aged 26 and 31, lying in the driveway of their home. Both men had been shot multiple times in the legs.
The victims were taken to a hospital where they were reported to be in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation indicates the men had been standing in their driveway when a dark-colored midsize vehicle drove by and someone fired several shots from out of one of the car’s windows, according to police.
No arrests were made and suspect information was not available.

Has anyone ever driven down the 2400 block of Illinois? At least 5-6 black men are always standing around flagging down cars selling crack. This incident does not surprise me at all…
What we can do to make EPA safe? Does the killer shooting only at someone they know?
Form a neighborhood watch and write down license plate numbers. The video or cell phones of cars, customers, and dealers. Be proactive!
The only way this gang violence will end in EPA is when the community takes and action to inform the FBI and the the EPPD on the identity, location and activity of gang members.
Use your cell phones to take evidence pictures and call law enforcement about gang activity, name names, identify locations and they will move to other towns real fast.
The healing has to start from within……..within the walls of the house where all the drugs are…GUARANTEED that within the houses in EPA others know those who are dealing ..and are condoning it. If you are among those who are dealing and/or hurting for extra money to get by or that someone there is already hooked on crack, it is still happening and you need help. Get help or risk getting caught in a raid someday, or having what just happened to the two men in the driveway happen all over again, maybe this time at your house. Only the names are changed this time around. People, you need to be strong and get some help, that in turn may save the lives of others in the neighborhood. Step up and do what’s right, it’s WAY past time.
the police do not care because if they did they would take action.they pretend that they are going to do something but do not anything!!!they could easily do something.drug dealers slang right in front of the police and dont worry about it.
