The article doesn't say people are mailing in absentee ballots, the majority still physically bring them in to a polling place and drop them off. I started doing this in response to the large-scale shenanigans of the last decade, so did many of my friends.

I may be getting absentee ballots, but I still want a nearby polling place where I can put my ballot into the box myself. I also want my kids to come with me to see me cast my ballot -- but no way could I concentrate on voting at the polling place.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
