Fairmeadow Harvest Fair and Haunted House

Original post made by Len Filppu on Oct 21, 2009

The public is cordially invited to attend the 16th Annual Fairmeadow Harvest Fair featuring a benefit barbeque by the Facebook Chefs, family fun and games, and the famous Scaremeadow Haunted House.

New attactions to this year's Scaremeadow Haunted House include the Graveyard, the Mummy's Tomb, the Upside Down Room, the Ghostly Library, and machines macabre from the Gunn High School Robotics Team.

The Haunted House is open Friday night, Oct. 23, 6-10 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 24, noon-4 p.m. and later from 6-10 p.m. One trip through the Haunted House costs $5.00; a two-pass package costs $8.00; and an unlimited pass available only Saturday afternoon during the Harvest Fair costs $10.00.

The Harvest Fair features family fun activities including the popular cake walk, hay rides, ring toss, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and bobbing for doughnuts. Additionally, seven chefs from Facebook's CaféX are donating their skills to cook tasty barbeque creations to benefit the building and planting of the new Fairmeadow Green Team garden.

The Harvest Fair is Saturday, Oct. 24, from noon - 4 p.m. Donations for the Facebook chef benefit BBQ are $12.00 for adults, $7.00 for children.

All events are at Fairmeadow Elementary School, 500 E. Meadow, Palo Alto, and all proceeds support Fairmeadow PTA.
