All lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Redwood City have been reopened following a two-hour closure this morning caused by an overturned catering vehicle, California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Kroncke said.

The crash was reported at 6:25 a.m. near the Woodside Expressway exit. Two people were inside the vehicle and at least one suffered a moderate head injury, Kroncke said.

The No. 1, 2 and 3 lanes were blocked while crews cleared the crash and cleaned up fuel that had leaked from the vehicle’s gas tank, Kroncke said.

All lanes were reopened at 8:26 a.m.

  1. I’m beginning to wonder if there is some truth to what I heard, that people in another country are writing these. Sounds like outsourcing to me.

  2. Woodside Road is more of an expressway than our own Oregon thoroughfare. Google Maps does indeed identify one stretch of Woodside Road as Woodside Expressway. I can report that northbound 101 traffic was backed up all the way down to San Antonio Road this morning at 8:20.

Outsourcing? Yes, outsourced to the 20 full-time local reporters of the Bay City News Service. You can get their articles online yourself for $20 each via Paypal. Don’t know how much for the full-blown subscription but must be cost-effective for Palo Alto Online.
