Al-Qaeda Websites Endorse McCain

Original post made by Al-Qaeda for McCain, Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Oct 22, 2008

"Al-Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming election," said a commentary posted Monday on the extremist Web site al-Hesbah, which is closely linked to the terrorist group. It said the Arizona Republican would continue the "failing march of his predecessor," President Bush.

In language that was by turns mocking and ominous, the newest posting credited al-Qaeda with having lured Washington into a trap that had "exhausted its resources and bankrupted its economy." It further suggested that a terrorist strike might swing the election to McCain and guarantee an expansion of U.S. military commitments in the Islamic world. "It will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaeda," said the posting, attributed to Muhammad Haafid, a longtime contributor to the password-protected site. "Al-Qaeda then will succeed in exhausting America."

Al Qaeda knows that they are feared and hated in the United States. Thus, they would probably expect Americans to go AGAINST whomever Al Qaeda actually supports. Knowing that, if they do support someone it would make sense for them to claim they are actually supporting his opponent.

In other words, if they want Obama elected, it would be logical for them to officially "support" McCain so that more Americans vote against "Al Qaeda's candidate", here McCain, and for the other candidate, here Obama (too bad 3rd parties are never discussed in this election BTW).

Thus, if they announce they support McCain, it must mean they actually want Obama elected...

Or it could mean that McCain was hobnobbing with Al Qeida in order to get their endorsement--or maybe they sent Palin in to get them behind mcCain

Al-Qaeda endorsed Bush in 2004. Bin Laden released a tape just before the election which Kerry blames for his loss.

2004

You are right. I had forgotten about that. So, maybe they do wish for the US to continue on its path...
