Sarah Palin's 5th child is really her teenage daughter Bristol's child

Original post made by Anonymous, Ohlone School, on Aug 31, 2008

Along with all the stories making their way through the news cycle is one regarding Trig Palin, her youngest child. Apparently, there has been suspicion, some reported through Alaskan media outlets even before the Vice Presidential buzz, that the child actually belongs to her daughter, Bristol Palin.

Bristol Palin left school for an extended period of time, due to mononucleosis according to her family for the last 4-5 months of Trig's pregnancy. Some classmates claimed later that they had seen Bristol Palin pregnant.

Sarah Palin did not reveal to anyone outside her family that she was pregnant until 8 months into her pregnancy. Even then, she showed no signs of pregnancy. Alaskan news outlets commented on this, but did not go further. There are pictures of her at Super Tuesday (just a month before the baby was born).

This could all be clarified with Paternity Testing...

I hope the wacky left keeps up these vile attacks against children, most Americans have some sense of decency when it comes to children and they will take the appropriate action in November.

Would passing a paternity test really prove anything? What you want is a maternity test.

Why is this a "vile attacks against children"?
Is there something to this story? Who knows yet, but it deserves to be looked into.
I guess "vile attacks" by republicans are okay (i.e. attacks against McCain in South Carolina in 2000, Limbaugh's comments aboput Hillary growing old in the White House, the swift-boating of the war hero Kerry in 2004, attacks on Obama claiming that he is not a "real" american and is a muslim--with the connotation that muslims are bad).
The hypocrisy of the republicans is beyond the pale.

if it is, she's even more of a hero. there's a difference between doing what you can to protect your daughter and insulting your female candidate with sexist rebuffs, as obama did. your first source doesn't say a word about this, and the other two sources are as shallow as you are. the democrats are running scared, as evidenced by these desperate attempts to discredit. palin will make this a race.

If you do a bit of investigation into the source of these sort of anti palin web sites you will find an interesting trail eg

Look who's really behind this.

In the Linux console, if you enter the following commands, you can learn the secrets of a political dirty trick. First, look up the host of 'sarahpalingayrights.com' to get the site's IP address.

host sarahpalingayrights.com
sarahpalingayrights.com has address 74.208.74.232

Then use the same command to look up the domain name pointer of that IP address.

host 74.208.74.232
232.74.208.74.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer obamadefense.com

Well, well. "Obamadefense.com," eh?

And what happens if you enter obamadefense.com on your browser's address line?

Why, you're redirected to none other than FightTheSmears.com, the official Barack Obama site that's supposed to be defending him against smears.

Looks like they may have a second purpose: to generate a few smears of their own.

Ultimately presidential elections are character contests. That's why negative advertising works and why McCain's camp went negative so early. If it is true that Sarah Palin is covering up her teenage daughter's pregnancy, it just points to another Republican who has trouble with telling the truth. Just what we need, more GOP operatives lying while in office.

I love it. Obamabots, including the Obama campaign folks themselves, are completely disintegrating.

Pity it had to happen so late in the game.

This is the first time I have been grateful we have such a long and drawn out process for our Presidential elections. I used to always wish for the Australian way, which is short and sweet.

But, in our country, I guess for some reason it just takes some of us a very long time to start to learn the truth.

Keep it up Obamabots! You are ripping your party to shreds!

DailyKos.com started the "grand baby" story... Should we be surprised?

Web Link

Michael Moore has the DailyKos story linked on his web page titled Show us the DNA.

From the London Times

"If Mrs Palin, a conservative mother-of-five, ever doubted that landing on a national presidential ticket would open herself to the harshest of spotlights and smear tactics, she also awoke this morning to utterly unfounded internet rumours that her fifth child born in April with Down's Syndrome was actually her 17-year-old daughter's."

"Yet the surprise choice of Mrs Palin has had an extraordinary impact on the presidential race, with the campaign of Barack Obama scrambling to discover more about her as it calculates how best to go after only the second women to be chosen as a vice-presidential nominee, follwing Geraldine Ferraro in 1984. Thick dossiers had been prepared on Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty - the men widely believed to be the final frontrunners - but the file on Mrs Palin is wafer thin."

"On the political talk shows, Democratic surrogates for Mr Obama fanned out to decry Mrs Palin's lack of experience, and her staunch conservatism. "

Guess obama arugula is preparing his " I had a scream " speech

Remember the case of Walter Mondale's Vice Presidential pick, I think his name was Eagleton. After weeks of denial he had to admit that he had been under treatment for mental illness. Mondale was forced at the last minute to dump him as his VP pick and choose a new guy - he lost the election.

If Sarah Palin's daughter is the biological Mother of this very lovely baby she better come out and say so immediately because it's going to be almost impossible to hide the truth. Truth and honesty is what people look for in their Presidential nominees, and the truth will come out one way or another. The American people don't like to be lied to as Walter Mondale found out.

Oh, the baby's probably Palin's--old mom, much, much more likely to have an egg with chromosomal defects.

Her behavior during labor and her behavior since indicate a woman who clearly has some serious issues dealing with mothering this kids.

Unfortunately, this is not uncommon with parents of special-needs kids. It's also not admirable.

In a way, it's a shame the teen story probably isn't true. At least the biological mother might then be spending time with her child.

Meg, hon, you're grasping at straws. A redirect? C'mon.

While we are at it, let's demand DNA tests of all candidates' children. Sauce for the goose, they say. They can announce the results right after they explain why Biden's 5 deferments were not the same as the 5 deferments they have been beating Cheney up for.

Walter,

Your misogyny is showing--you equate feminism with neglectful parenting.

Sorry, we lefties believe parenting should be a choice--but when you make that choice, you assume the responsibilities that go with it.

Again, The Family Leave Act was a leftie, not a rightie, proposal.

And I would be happy for Sarah Palin to take a leave of absence in order to bond to her child in these difficult circumstances. Or, since that's difficult, as governor, to work out a cooperative deal with her lieutenant governor so she can nurse her infant every two to three hours as is recommended for Down's infants.

But neglecting her infant in order to run for national office? No, not cool. There's no way she can nurse her child every two to three hours in such circumstances--particularly important with Down's kids as they often have latching and digestion issues.

Cool is putting those ambitions on the back-burner, like Joe Biden, until the child is older and less dependent upon her. School-age, for example, might work if the child's doing well.

Yes and Biden claimed he had asthma to dodge the final signing up to defend our country.

But after wards he claimed to have been a star athlete during that period.
He came 89th out of 95 in his law school class too.
Also he was not born of modest means, his father was a very very rich but drank and gambled it all away.

Nice hair job and teeth though, a legend in his own mind

Mike,

You can have asthma and do athletics. There was that sad case of the Olympic medalist years ago who had has medal taken away because of his asthma medication.

But, then, dropping out of a game during an asthma attack isn't a life or death matter. Little different on the battlefield, or piloting a fighter pilot, etc.

And not everybody's a great scholar. Bush, for example . . .

Nice to know that he didn't follow in his father's footsteps, isn't it? It says a lot, in that case, about the effort it must have taken to learn to be a responsible parent.

Geez, that was a lame flame, I have to say. I was at least expecting the plagiarism stuff.

I'm not seeing any of the Ohlone values from the posters who claim to be from that community... what a pity.

OHLONE CORE VALUES
The foundation of the Ohlone alternative

Trusting and respecting each individual - Mutual respect, honesty and personal responsibility are key elements.
Developmental approach - Each student's curriculum acknowledges the uniqueness and developmental level of that individual.
Growth and assessment - An ongoing process of observation and feedback is utilized, designed to recognize individual growth and change.
Meaningful, relevant curriculum - Ohlone provides a "training ground for real life" so that each student becomes a self-directed, thinking, lifetime learner.
Multi-dimensional learning - Optimal learning focuses on the whole child: Social, emotional and academic development are of equal importance.
Cooperation and collaboration - Students of multiple ages work together on projects designed to help them share strengths, accept support & communicate ideas.
Teacher-parent partnership - Teachers and parents are partners who work together to support the students and school programs

Suppose for a minute that the 5th child is really her grandchild, it still shows that she has family values and is probably doing the best for both children in the circumstances. I do not think that this equates as being dishonest to the US public as this is very much a family matter and none of our business.

Suppose.

Alaska does infact have many interactions with Russia and is the location of our major defense against Russian missiles and planes, Sarah Barracuda may well have a higher security clearance than Biden on these issues.

Also the Barracuda negotiated a multi billion agreement with Canada for a fuel pipeline.

I would think that obamas link with terrorist, such as the weathermen, and a convicted felon who bought his house for him makes his security clearance problematic, that may be why he has done nothing in the Senate.

Phew! You people need to put down the Jerry Springer script.

There is a small child at the center of this question that is frankly not your business. This is not like the Steve Jobs health matter where investors money is on the line. Nor is this like McCains cancer here today gone tomorrow. And this is not like Hillary making a killing in the futures market when she has not one shred of an idea how futures contracts are bought and sold.

We have a small child who I am sure is happy to be alive and not in some abortion dumpster. If what Obama's web site claims is true then so what? If it is not true then shame on Obama. Either way for any adult to capitalize on someone's child is beneath contempt.

ALL YOU DOWN SYNDROME pro-abortion people make me sick. If you think this child should have been aborted you need to think again. Here is a solution Web Link there are many others; or are you too selfish for this option too?

None of Sara's children is running for office. Leave them out, just as the Clintons insisted on Chelsea out of the publics eye.

You democrats keep this attack up on a child and McCain will coast into the white house.

For example if two sites were hosted on yahoo's web hosting service, wouldn't they have the same connection as the two sites you mention? Wouldn't it be really stupid of obama people to do this dirty trick if it can be so easily detected? You don't actually think they are that stupid do you? Would it maybe not be clever for 'swift boat' type smearers to create the site on the same server used by the obama group? Check out:

Bill,

So Steve Jobs' health matters because of shareholders--but the background of the vice president does not?

Again, what kind of mother seeks national office when her special needs kid is four months old? Do you think she took a child who should be breastfeeding down to New Orleans for the photo op with the gov.?

Palin made a commitment to a helpless being she brought into the world. Being on a national campaign trail when the child is four months old is failing in that commitment.

Parent,

I don't buy the grandchild story--though if it's true, I don't have a problem with that. Stuff happens and it's better than putting up the child for adoption. What I don't like is neglecting an infant by a parent.

OP's Sister,

Now that's grasping for straws--otherwise you'd know that the last thing an Ohlone parent would do is what Palin's doing. We parents are heavily involved with our kids and the school community.

It's Obama land there, anyway--did you really think it wouldn't be?

So would you take a job that meant traveling extensive when you had a four-month-old baby?

Ms. OhlonePar: Madam you have allot to learn.
Mr. Jobs has built a company with public solicited money. He then developed that company with the cult of his personality. Yes, his health is directly tied to material facts regarding the success or failure of this company. If Apple was private then his health is no ones business except his.

The parallel to these minor children is the same they are not running for any public office and their private lives are private. Most importantly is that of the 16 year old, again a minor who has been dragged into an issue that is simply none of your business. If Obama is behind this malice then he is wrong. This would demonstrate his willingness to harm a minor child to insure some ill conceived election objective. If true, that would be despicable.

As for "what kind of mother" comment Ms. OhlonePar that is nothing more than some Palo Alto holier-than-thou woman expressing her ill formed opinion. All your posturing is just that posturing and simply is not relevant to how Sarah Palin manages her family.

Bill,

Palin's children aren't running for public office--but she is. And how she handles her responsibilities matters if she's going to be no.2 in the United States.

My issue is not Palin's teen-age daughter and the rumors around her. As I've noted, I'm disinclined to believe it because of the link between Down's and maternal age. I'm commenting on the facts as we've been told.

My issue is with a candidate who thinks it's okay to campaign for national office when she has a four-month-old infant with special needs. There's no way she can both honor the responsibilities of the VP job, running on a national ticket and her prior commitment to her infant. That she would attempt to do so shows an extreme lack of judgment.

I don't know a single mother who would leave that young an infant and campaign away from them--even if the infant weren't facing extra health risks. And that's of *any* political stripe. It's kind of shocking. It makes me wonder if the rumor's out there simply because Palin's behavior makes so little sense otherwise.

And before you blather on about her privacy. Sorry, she wants to be next-in-line for president, head of the most powerful country in the world. It's my responsibility to scrutinize her and see if she's fit for the job. I don't think you can argue that this is a matter between two consenting adults.

As for holier-than-thou--no, that's right-wing specialty. I just think if you bring a child into this world, you give it what it needs.

June, june,

The amazing thing about Palin is that she's weak in so many ways. That business about trying to get her ex brother-in-law fired was even uglier than it at first seems--and some of the ugliest stuff was recorded.

Her own mother-in-law isn't sure she'll vote for her. There are leading Alaskan Republicans who think she's not fit for the VP job and have said so publicly.

All signs are that McCain didn't vet her, but picked her impulsively. One report says that Rove wanted Romney, McCain Leiberman and Palin was McCain's impulsive response to the quarrel.

So we're also looking at McCain's erratic judgment again.

Ms. OhlonePar

Well I am with you on the give it what it needs component however that "needs" is again your Master Card charging, Nordstroms' shopping, Ralph Loren buying perspective and not mine.

This family of Sarah Palin is complete with a husband and a wife. They are Equal in bringing forth life into their family. Which is their business and not yours. Now I know those words may not work for your in this California homosexual marriage test tube baby society we have here in Palo Alto. But, Madam the rest of the country still does it the old fashion way, a family is a husband and a wife of opposite genders..

It seems to me, Sarah Palin is seeking her career like the feminist demand. She is also entrusting her husband to the care of their family. She is not super woman and her relationship with her husband is all the indication you need on that matter.

Mr. Palin would seem the ideal husband. Unlike Bill Clinton who's husband duties included bedding other women and forsaking his family and child.

"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support," the Palins said.

The Palins asked the news media to respect the young couple's privacy.

The age of consent in Alaska is 16yrs, I suggest we drop this whole topic, though it is already too late I fear, it will come back to bite us hard come November.
The venom on the internet re this matter never goes away despite Daily Kos's attempts to bury their tracks on this and pretend it never happened.
DU is still flaming, it is completely self destructive.
There will be direct comparison between Obamas statements about his daughters being "punished" by pregnancy and his advocacy of infanticide vs the Palins choosing life, unconditional love and their daughters marriage.
As McCain knew about the matter ahead of time it is going nowhere.

Families in the flyover states and in Palo Alto have to deal with these issues all the time, they deserve our charity and support, not vile hatred.

Bill,

I limit my Nordstrom shopping to shoe sales. I love Ralph Lauren ads, but not the clothes. My taste is more idiosyncratic--and like a lot of people around here, the mortgage limits that kind of indulgence.

Your misogyny is showing, by the way--you equate feminism with neglecting a child for a career. No, it's about being treated equally under the law and making choices. The responsible choice in this case is to hold off on national ambitions until the infant is older.

One of the reasons Palin's personal choices should be examined is that she, herself, would force rape victims to bear a rapist's child. She feels she can make those judgments for all. So, why should she be free from scrutiny.

As for her daughter--well, that explains the rumors. Poor thing--she looks so very young.

I have to wonder, though, at what point does Hockey Mom's ambitions take a back seat to her family's needs? Kid going off to war in a couple of months? Nope. Teen pregnancy? Nope. Special needs infant? Nope.

And, yes, I would absolutely be wondering the same things about a male politician. You want a large family? Great. But, again, you've made a commitment and your desires don't always get to come first.

Sarah Palin has the Princess Diana syndrome. She brings her pregnant daughter on stage carrying a baby; who knows whose baby, then announces she's pregnant but the press should leave her alone.

Palin brought her daughter out on stage, used her for her own publicity and then tells the press to respect the young peoples privacy!!! Who's she kidding!!!

Hillary's choice of campaign director cost her the nomination. McCain's unvetted choice of VP reflects badly on his decision making. The VP is the most important decision a candidate has to make for the election itself.

Anonymous,

It lends credence to the story that McCain wanted Lieberman; Rove wanted Romney and McCain selected Palin on the spur of the moment.

Palin had to know that if she accepted the nomination she'd be putting her daughter in the spotlight. So why did she do it? Other politicians have turned down opportunities to keep their families from that sort of scrutiny.

Obama has stated that he was born in similar circumstances, his mother was 18 when she had an affair with a married man who later bigamously married her before he dumped her.

He does not want people talking about the Palin child, ignore him at your peril.

The backlash to these vile and evil comments about a child has started and is gaining momentum where it counts, in the key states and among swing voters.

I'm not an Obama operative and have never voted for him. I'm one of those voters who's supposed to identify with Hockey Mom.

And Hockey Mom's not looking so good on the mom front. Ironic, given that was supposed to be a selling point.

And if Palin wants to step down from the nomination in order to take care of her kids during this stressful time, I'd be glad to give her privacy.

But she chose to step into the limelight knowing that her daughter's private life would be exposed.

Real moms know how to put their kids first.

"You want a large family? Great. But, again, you've made a commitment and your desires don't always get to come first."

OP, tell that to Bobby Kennedy...and all those who voted for him.

Also, his brother, JFK, exploited the heck out of his own two kids, for political reasons, even when his wife opposed it.

Sarah Palin seems like a feisty woman who has a view on things, especially corruption and energy. She has five kids, and one of her daughters is about to make her a grandmother. However, her youngest son is not her grandson, which was claimed by the Obama campaign. That charge is libelous, and Obama should go before the cameras and deeply apologize for his dirty tricks. Has he no shame?

OP

OK keep up the vile and evil attacks, but do not say you were not warned.

At this point you are doing yourself and Obama much more harm than good, but you are what you are.

Let's give the Obamamites a Mulligan on this hook. Kos is seldom right but always left. At any rate, it is axiomatic that the first child comes along any time, all the rest take 9 months.

Meg--what fantasy world do you live in?
You state "The backlash to these vile and evil comments about a child has started and is gaining momentum where it counts, in the key states and among swing voters."--where are you getting your info from--Rush Limbaugh.
Get a grip. Vile attacks by republicans are okay, but dare to question any republican and you are guilty of "vile attacks".
Have you no shame, Meg???

Jim,

Never had a high opinion of Bobby Kennedy, sorry. Your age is showing by the way.

Sounds like the grandkid thing was the result of confused rumors. Obama didn't say them, so why would he be apologizing for them?

I said I thought they weren't true because of the link between Down's and maternal age. Today's Peyton Place plot turn was quite the filip.

Meg,

Please don't threaten people. It's inappropriate.

What's evil and vile about expecting a mother to take the time to mother her kids?

Nothing. Which is why you're making weird and nebulous personal attacks.

Fact is, I'm right. The whole mom-of-five was being played as a political advantage--and it's kind of blowing up in the collective face of the GOP.

Funny thing is, you're so obviously not a mom or you'd understand why Palin's behavior's appalling.

Only a Mom could understand? Gee, no wonder I, only a dad, am puzzled why shared care consistent with circumstances and obviously monitored by Mom isn't enough. Things haven't changed since Uncle Tom's Cabin, the beaters still make life hell for anyone who wanders off the plantation. Let that be a lesson to uppity broads and blacks.
