Bus route altered in south Palo Alto

An altered route for a community bus line in Palo Alto begins Monday and will include coordinated service to local schools that begins in the fall.

A transit study and public outreach led to the proposed changes to community bus line 88, which will add more service and frequency to the Midtown area and Louis Road. Peak hours on weekdays will have service stops every 30 minutes and every hour for peak hours on weekends.

San Antonio Road will no longer be served by community bus line 88 as a result of the revisions.

The modified bus line includes changes to school routes and will service Jordan Middle School, Terman Middle School and Gunn High School. School service stops will coincide with school bells with one stop each in the morning and afternoon.
