Congratulations to all the All Stars.

Hopefully, all these are true Palo Altans able to prove their residency with parents drivers license and PA utility bills and no outsiders taking space of our own 12 year olds.

Parent,

Little League is probably the most scrupulous about out-of-boundry players, among the various youth sports leagues. Not perfect, but very careful.

If you have names of players who live outside the LL boundry, please publish them on this site. I am confident that the situation will be dealt with.

If you cannot, or will not, name names, then you should zip your zipper.

Jim

All I know is what I have read on the PA Daily. I am not naming names, but names are mentioned there. I agree that from my perspective we are confident that all players on all teams are PA residents. But it is unfortunate that comments to the contrary have surfaced and people are talking and boys pass on what they hear.

Parent,

PALL has, of its own choice, decided to offer LL slots to EPA kids, where a program does not exist for them. This means that they are welcome, as long as they are not part of the Majors, becasue the Majors exist in EPA.

PALL does not have to extend this offer, based on LL rules. PALL has done it as an attempt to help out EPA.

You, Parent, have attempted to make this into something else. It isn't, period.

Jim

Thank you for clearing this up. According to the website, it is only on extenuating circumstances that kids who attend PA schools and reside outside PA are eligible. The discussion is going on and I am not the one who has attempted to make this something else. I just thought that it was wise to bring it out into the open.

After all, boys will be boys and they are the ones who are possibly being left out of teams.

My understanding that superbowl players are all in Majors and all Majors should be residents. If you are confident that this is the case then I will leave it at this.

Parent,

Superbowl is a relatively new development. When my kids were involved in PALL, it did not exist. LL National created the category in order to increase participation, without diminishing the competitive level of All Stars. I think it has been a resaonably successful effort.

I don't think that Superbowl exists in EPA, although I am not sure about this. EPA has a hard time fielding an All Star team, let alone a Superbowl team. PALL attempts to fill the gaps. Superbowl may be one of these gaps. If Superbowl parents are upset about EPA kids, who may be talented enough to make All Stars, then, perhaps, restrictions can be made. However, realize that PALL is trying help out, not trying to exploit the situation.
