Cowardly Congress Passes Farm Bill

Original post made by Mike, College Terrace, on May 15, 2008

Congressional approval ratings (19%) are even lower than Shrub's. It's no wonder, with this sick puppy legislation that had increased food aid to foreign nations stripped by lobby-fed Congressional members on both sides of the aisle, who continue to fatten up on the perks paid out by the likes of Cargill and AGM.

Seriously, the lot of them - including the so-called Progressive left, and the so-called caring-Christian right - are morally bankrupt, especially in light of current and projected world food shortages.

Must. Force. Myself. To. Type. Next. Sentence.

Mike, it's never happened before, but ... I agree with you!

Failed leadership in the white house leads to failed leadership in Congress. It will be equally as bad if the President signs. This is one area in which you and I agree. The nation needs change from the ground up!
