If you'd like to congratulate the 2008 Avenidas Lifetimes of Achievement recipients in person, tickets are still available at www.avenidas.org, or by calling (650) 289-5445. The outdoor garden event is this Sunday, May 18, from 3 to 5pm. Come enjoy good food and wine and the chance to celebrate these outstanding contributors. All proceeds benefit the programs of Avenidas, the non-profit agency that helps older adults and their families.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
