'Busycle' short of peoplepower for Saturday

Original post made on Feb 16, 2008

The "Busycle" that occasionally lumbers around Palo Alto streets may not be able to get to the "City Ride" bicycling event at Mitchell Park Saturday morning because it's coming up short on pedal pushers, according to its owner, Martin Krieg.

Thanks for giving the address, now I know which garage to break into to get my hands on that sweet penny farthing!!! Now all I need is a hoop with a stick to play with and a washboard for my laundry and my bid for world domination will be complete.

Couldn't we just get a bunch of the crazy homeless people who dot the sidewalks of PA to peddle it? Or how about a bunch of the "punk" teen dropouts that seem to hang out all day next to pizza my heart.

BTW- there must be a lot of proud parents out there that dropped the coin to live in PA for the great schools and now their kids get high and eat pizza all day. Aint irony a bitch.

Seriously, if you just called it a prius and put some Obama and Apple mac stickers on it you could probably fool half of this towns population into thinking it was their car.

With a tip o the hat I say good luck and Godspeed to you sir!
