what gets recycled in the curb bins ?

Original post made by newbie on Sep 16, 2007

As a new resident, I want to continue to recycle but since what can be placed into the blue bin is rather hard to figure out from place to place. I've looked on the palo alto web site as well as the pasco site (whose link to recycle is broken) and still don't have an answer.

What belongs in those green and blue carts ?

Web Link

oh and this link has information about the recycling center where you can get rid of things that curb side pick up does not cover.

That last link did not call it out, but the green cans are for yard waste. The blue is for mixed paper, plastics, cardboard, cans, etc.

Be careful not to make any mistakes, because if you do, they won't take the contents away, just leave a message on the top of your full bun which may or may not get blown away by the wind.

Call PASCO (Palo Alto Sanitation Company) at 493-4894 and ask for a packet of instructions, etc. It will contain a list of do's and don'ts and special collections.
