Science Fair!!

Original post made by Ruthie Waters, College Terrace, on Sep 6, 2007

If your 6-12 grade student has an interest in science, please have him or her check out the Santa Clara County Science Fair ( www.science-fair.org ).

I help with the administration of the fair, and have had many rewarding experiences watching the students explore new vistas. The next fair is March 11-12, 2008, at the San Jose Convention Center. Winners are eligible to attend the California State Science Fair in Los Angeles and the International Science and Engineering Fair (in Atlanta, GA this year). Now is the time to start planning! Go to our website ( www.science-fair.org )to find out how get an application.

Thank you for the information. My son participated in his school science fair last year and was encouraged to go on to the one you mentioned but we missed the deadline. He will be trying for it this year. It was great to see him try and explain his team's thought process and their methods to the adults who came by. What a great experience for students interested in Science.
